Ummmm, excuse me?
You DO look great on camera. Even better on camera knowing that you were post-run and victorious. (okay, maybe I’m biased, but still…)
I’m sad that the foot pain has returned. I’m glad we have some solutions to know what do about it. I will help with the solutions and nurse those important feet every night to help you reach your goal.
I’m proud of you for doing a video post today. You’ve been dancing around the first one now for a little while and I think the format suits you more than you imagine. Even if you never do it again, I loved it. And as always, I love your message. Every time we put that foot in the right direction, even when it hurts, even when it sucks, its great. And it means something.

Loving the realness of you. Always have, always will. Thanks for being that. Love you! Really love your video blog. Really love that you’re remembering to give yourself credit for the journey.
I loved your 1st vlog! You reminded me that we do what we can. I can’t run, or lift weights on dry land- but I can run & do resistance exercises in the pool! So off I go…doing what I can do.
Congratulations on your first video post! I like your writing so I don’t want you to give that up, but I like this too. Good for you!
I’m curious about the advice “Mo” is giving you about PF. I was told to stop rest it in order to recover, and that it takes up to a year, and just spoke with another friend who ran through it, running more slowly and fewer miles, and recovered. So I’m curious about what is the right way to deal with it, assuming there IS a right way. You know where to find me if you have an answer.
I rested it for SIX months, only walking and not running, and after a week of avergaing 4.5 miles a day ran 2.5 miles on a track and it hurt for two weeks. I let that defeat me and have been depressed and sedentary since. So the roles are reversed and I need you (from afar) to get me back to it. Thanks for being out there.
I thought you did great and looked great too. I need to do more reminding myself and less stressing over the little things. I too want to do a marathon this year but plan on walking most of it. I say whatever way we can get across the finish line if it’s a goal we set for ourselves then just accomplishing it is what counts 🙂 Hope the foot gets to feeling better soon.
Wonderful post (I’ve actually been following you for almost two years now, and don’t think I have ever commented!) – I actually needed that reminder from your video, and you game it to me – that even thought it’s a rough run, even if it hurts, we are out doing it, we made the commitment to ourselves and honored it. We ran despite feeling slow or a twinge – and that determination is not something we knew about ourselves prior to this LCJ. So thank you for your video, and putting yourself out there and reminding me that I should treasure the fact that I decided to ran, went and did it despite feeling less than fabulous during the run. Keep up the video blogs!
PS I think we are on a similar first marathon schedule, my first marathon is in May too (the 27th, in Idaho)
Holy camoly! That’s a pretty damn good first Vlog…I’ve never tried…because I’m afraid. I’d script and script and script and it would still suck. I wrote a post on PF…Check out aches and pains. Hope it helps. Love you.
Hey – your voice is so beautiful!! Its always lovely to put a voice to a face/blog – especially since I have been reading your blog for so long. And living on the other side of the world its hard to imagine your accent.
Your voice is very sweet, and you come across so genuine.
I also love that you begin your vlog with your head in your hands and worrying about your hair and how you look… and you end with confidence, a coy smile and some serious self belief.
Vlogs may be a great way for you!
You’re really cute and your voice is cute too! I am planning in doing the Bluenose too! But the 10k, not the marathon. You are awesome for running despite the pain. You’re awesome for taking that first step of that first walk and not stopping!
LOVED IT! So great to see and hear you again – love you, miss you! Take care of yourself, give your body the time it needs to heal. You’ll get through this, and you’re going to make that marathon your bitch. It’s much better to miss a few runs and make it to the start line a little undertrained, than to push yourself too hard and have to sit out with a DNS.
I watched this while I was trying to convince myself that I did not have to get on the treadmill for a run. Thank you for getting my butt on that machine.
Ummmm, excuse me?

So yeah…you’re a natural! Seriously. I’m not just saying that. And you’re freaking beautiful, too, like you have a light inside of you.
I’ve had PF before and it sucks. Have you tried the frozen juice can trick? Roll your foot on it as hard and as long as you can.
I second Karen’s insightful comments, wholeheartedly.
And Karen, we are on the frozen can trick…we’ve got frozen water bottles. (I hope it helps!)
Welcome to the world of vlogging! You did great. Keep it up. And yes, you are awesome! Keep kicking ass! =)
