Weight loss just isn’t about the physical weight we’ve carried on our bodies for as long as we can remember. Emotional weight can keep us from moving forward and finding the life we deserve. As someone who has lost 110 pounds, I know first hand how hard it is day in and day out to give yourself the permission to stand up, take control and go after what you deserve. Sometimes you need someone in your corner that just gets it.

Look up there in my header – I changed my life so I can help change yours. I want to reach out and grab you by both shoulders and help you see the life you deserve is there for you to take. For most of my life I was convinced I didn’t deserve to lose the physical weight. I felt being morbidly obese was some sort of punishment for not being good enough. I had already condemned myself to living and dying with the extra weight and nothing that I tried would ever work. I had visions of grandeur that if I could just lose the weight everything else would fall into place. I’d be happy. Content. Motivated. I would love myself absolutely.
That didn’t happen.
While taking those first physical steps of my journey were difficult, the hardest steps happened with I began to shed the emotional weight. Having to look deeply in to who I had become over the last 40+ years and deciding that in addition to the physical movement forward, I would need to also move forward emotionally. It was here, my life changing journey finally began to occur.

I’ve decided to venture into the next chapter of my own life changing journey and offer one-on-one coaching programs for those ready to move forward physically AND emotionally. I know what short term motivation feels like on this journey (and how fast it can dissipate). Together we take your short term motivation and begin to change it into long term determination that will help you move towards the person you DESERVE to become.
Over a six week period we will work together to sort through the tough spots on your LCJ and begin to fill that emotional “tool box” you need in order to stand up, take control and to understand that you absolutely have the ability to go after the life you want no matter whether you are at the before, the during, or the after of your life changing journey.
How do we know if working with me is for you?
Here’s the honest answer to that question; We Don’t Know.
Will coaching change your life completely and absolutely? Will you walk away after six weeks feeling ready to take charge of your life changing journey? I believe when people decide to work with a life coach there is an air of expectation for finding all the answers. If I promised a solid “Yes, I will change your life for the better”, I could be setting you up for failure (and we know that failure is a big emotional weight most of us carry on our overweight bodies and continue to carry on our smaller versions of ourselves). I don’t know if coaching with me (or anyone else for that matter) will provide you with the necessary tools but what I will tell you is that I’ve been through a lifetime of emotions and understanding on my own journey and I will bring everything I have to the table to help you understand yours.
The Before:
- Do you have a lot of weight to lose?
- Maybe you don’t know where to begin or you’ve tried numerous times and feel like “what’s the point”? Working together, we will discuss the barriers to moving forward, and implement small steps to discovering the answer to the “what’s the point” question. I truly believe that small steps of change lead to bigger steps which lead to Life Changing Steps.
The During:
- Have you taken some steps on your Life Changing Journey and you’re ready for more?
- You’ve begun your journey. The weight is coming off but something just doesn’t feel right. You’re beginning to understand that there is more to losing weight than just leaving some sweat on the gym floor (which feels great). You’re ready to conquer the emotional side of weight loss. Let’s talk about food. Let’s talk about feeling out of place when people say you look great. Let’s talk about how when you look in the mirror you’re not sure who is looking back at you any longer. Let’s talk about not wanting the attention when you walk into a room and people notice you for what could possibly be the first time in your life.
- Do you find yourself resorting to old behaviors knowing full well they keep you from moving forward?
- All too often we find ourselves at a cross roads during this journey. Wanting to implement “new and improved” behaviors (drinking water, eating cleaner, moving more, staying in the moment) but find ourselves resorting to the “old and hindering” behaviors (consuming sugar, driving through multiple fast food joints, sitting around channel surfing for hours and hours on end, obsessing about the past or worrying about the future). When this happens we often feel like we’re never going to succeed. This is a lie. You will succeed but you have to trust in your ability to stand up and take control of your life. Together we will build that trust in yourself.
The After:
- Have you already lost a significant amount of weight and realize it’s not what you thought it would be?
- It’s still difficult to take a compliment about your weight loss.
- You miss your old way of life.
- You never mourned the passing of your old self as your new self emerged.
- You’re frustrated that this is forever.
- You’re embarrassed by your loose skin.
- You’re still attached to your scale.
- Maintenance is harder than losing the weight.
- You’re not sure what to do now that the weight is gone.
- Your love life is changing; for the better and it’s confusing.
- Your love life is changing; maybe not so much for the better and it’s confusing.
Like everything I do you can expect intensity and understanding when you work with me. You can read in my words and on my blog that I’ve been through a lifetime of emotions to bring me to where I stand today and I believe that everyone can find it within themselves to Stand Up, Take Control and Deserve This. What is this? It’s a lifetime of living life to the fullest.

But more importantly, I want to help you get to a place where you can work with yourself.
Most coaching packages are negotiable as far as payment plans are concerned.
6 Week Coaching Option A: $350.00
- Access to private Facebook group (support from people who “get it”)
- 6 one hour Skype sessions – we’ll meet once a week (preferably the same time each week) at a time that is convenient for both of us.
- *Email coaching where we will discuss what’s happening right now in your life changing journey and the areas you want more support in. Email coaching will help to facilitate our one-on-one time via Skype. Some discussions may feel safer through email. I will encourage using the one-on-one time for tackling the bigger focal points of your Life Changing Journey but understand that a gentle net may need to be laid first and that takes place in the email.
6 Week Coaching Option B: $250.00
- Access to private Facebook group (support from people who “get it”)
- 3 one hour or 6 thirty minute Skype sessions – we’ll meet once every two weeks for the 3 one hour sessions or once a week for the 6 thirty minute session during a time that works for both of us.
- *Email coaching where we will discuss what’s happening right now in your life changing journey and the areas you want more support in (see package A for more details on email coaching)
12 Week Coaching Option A – $650.00
- Feel like 4 weeks or 6 weeks is not enough time to set in stone the choices and decisions to stand up, take control and move forward? Ready to spend the next 3 months exploring where you are today and how to move from the “I can’t” to “Not only can I, I deserve too“? This is the same format as Package A (12 one-hour skype sessions, email and access to private Facebook group).
- Same as option A but this is 12 weeks with weekly 30 minute Skype sessions, email and access to private Facebook group
- Have a friend or family member ready to make changes along side of you? I’m offering the same 6 week coaching sessions but with a catch; sign up together, work together and support each other in ways that I’m unable to do from afar. Coaching sessions are held separately but you can collaborate together implementing your P.o.A (Plan of Action) towards the long term determination.
- Not sure if committing to once a week will work for you? The punch card option is exactly the same as the twelve week coaching session but you use your appointment times just like a punch card. Want to get together every week in the beginning but need the flexibility when you decide every week is not necessary? Want to try going every other week? Once a month? Just when you need someone to talk too?
- Please note that this option does not come with a payment plan but there is also no time limit when it must be used.
