I’m so excited Tommie Copper is letting me do this giveaway for a pair of compression tights. As of right now they are only offering “women’s” but after talking with Kristen over at TC she assures me that men can wear this style (but may need to size up). I’ll concur; as mostly boy I didn’t feel these were “girly” in any way whats so Β ever. In fact I didn’t even know what she had sent was technically women’s until I went to look for a picture to put with this blog post.
Even better? This giveaway is open to my Canadian friends as well as my friends in the States. I love companies willing to reach out to beyond the lower 48.
Want in on this awesomesauce of a giveaway? Of course you do! Welcome to my playground; here are the “rules”:
- Watch the dang video up there!
- Leave me a comment below. Tell me about your compression socks/tights experience. Never used them? Use them all the time? Use them for things other than running (remember I like my tights also because of loose skin).
- Tweet the hell out of this giveaway. I wanted to use rafflecopter but I can’t figure out the ins and outs of that damn thing (with embedding youtube video and working in html…hello rafflecopter, get with the program and make it more user friendly!) Say something fun like “Tara loves her @tommiecopper compression tights, unicorns and _(use your imagination)_” Link the giveaway and then leave me a comment below. You can do this once a day (but please only once a day…no need to gank the giveaway.
- I’m totally taking the opportunity to pimp out my facebook page: ALifeChangingJourney. Maybe you’d like to “Like it”?
- Maybe you want to give @tommiecopper a follow on twitter?
You can leave a separate comment for each entry. If you do it all in one comment then that’s one entry and if you’re happy with one entry so am I.
The giveaway will be open until December 8th, 2012 12:01a…That means one minute into my birthday day the giveaway will close because seriously it’s my birthday and the first thing I want to do is wake up and pick a lucky winner!!!!! I’ll use Random.Org as usual when picking a random number from total entries received.
Good luck everyone!
And as per usual: I was not compensated for my opinion. I was sent products to review (for which I am very thankful) and all opinions expressed about the products are mine and mine alone.
I’ve never worn compression tights but I love my zensah sleeves. I have a pair of CEP socks that I like for after running but every time I’ve run in them I’ve hated them.

Never tried compression tights or socks; heard great things about them though.
I’ve tried compression socks but never leggings, hoping for stability on the knees as well as holding in that extra loose skin from weight loss. Never TMI Tara it is what it is, thanks for sharing π
I LOVE compression anything!!! I have a compression shirt…its like a tanktop but it stops all the jiggly bits from doing their own thing.
I can’t picture a guy liking compression pants though..they look like there’s no room for their ‘junk’! !

I’ve liked a life changing journey on FB for a long time!!
I have a few pairs of compression socks, they are ankle length and are from Saucony and Merrell, and I love them, SO comfortable and really support, but lately I have had a problem with them slipping down my ankle and rubbing the wrong way. Now I’m sure that’s as much my fault as it is the socks, I’m not pulling them up high enough or what have you, but I haven’t been able to run lately because of the scabs/calluses on the back of my ankles getting ripped open (TMI, T, but I know you will understand). I would love to have a pair that come up high and support around the bottom of my calves as I get so much lactic acid build up down there, but sadly, I am a poor college student who cannot just readily invest in new shmancy running gear ATM.
I also use a pair of Hind brand running pants, but I can’t say that they are compression. I love them because they’re long and my legs stay warm and my thighs don’t chafe, but they tend to fall down my hips a bit after I run a few steps and I’m constantly adjusting. Now, IDK if compression tights would help with that, but here’s hoping!
And here’s to hoping that my follows, my likes and my tweets as per rules, get me picked by the random number generator! WOOT WOOT!
I LOVE my compression socks but really want a pair of tights! I have been looking into them for over a year and just can not afford them right noe!
Hi Tara! First of all, happy early birthday! (Mine is exactly a week before yours:)) I am getting sick of my ” shorts over tights” look and was just considering looking into something like this. You saved me some leg work (literally:)) so thanks!
Watched the video.

I had to wear compression tights the whole pregnancy…. and they totally sucked because it was a workout just to get the darn things on. But now I wish I had some to suck in the extra preggo skin.
I’ve never worn compression tights. Honestly, the word “tights” does not conjure images that are very flattering and I imagine I’d be too self conscious to wear them out. I do have a pair of socks that I wear after longer runs and I lurve them.

I love compression socks for recovery. I tried to run in them once and had to stop to roll them down because they made my calves hurt too much. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Tommie Copper ankle sleeves, I swear they work like magic!
Tweet, tweet!
I’ve never tried any compression pants even though I’ve wanted to. It’s really hard to find them in larger sizes, so I was so excited to see that Tommie Copper offers them up to a XXL which will fit a women’s 24-28. Woo Hoo!! WTG Tommie Copper for realizing fitness is for ALL sizes!

I have never considered compression garments, simply because when I looked at them at the Running Room, there were no plus sizes offered!!
I already like/love you on facebook!! <3

Totally could use these! I try to wear compression socks every day I work 12 hour nursing shifts and I can totally feel it when I don’t wear them. Would love to try a pair of tights (for work and working out…although I don’t think I’d be able to rock them like you :))
Okay, clearly typing on the iPhone doesn’t work. Hopefully the two half comments I made from it don’t post. Anyway, I have one pair of Old navy compression pants that I LOVE, so these would be great… keep me from running in holey pajama pants.

Dear Tara,
I am 60 years old and 6 foot 2 inches tall and weighing in at 195. I am a mountain bike rider and have been riding bicycles most of my life. Encountered the plantar fascitis issue and is it ever painful! But lo and behold there is a God ( and i know Him personally) because the compression ankle unit works!!! Riding more than 30 miles on a regular basis and keeping fit pain free. Not able to find work at this time, so it would really be wonderful to be able to give some of these fine stitchwear to my lovely wife. She suffers from pain from carpal tunnel and a fall on the job injuring her back. It pains me to see her hurting all the time and I believe something like the wrist and upper body shirt could bring her back to life. Thanks again for the video which we really enjoyed watching and showing to all of my friends. Peace and be safe out there.

I’m a big TC fan. Their calf sleeves are my favorites! I’ve never worn compression tights and I have worn a couple pairs of compression socks but I’m not nearly as in love with them as I am the TC calf sleeves.

I am “gearing up” to do my first dance/exercise class. In addition to getting the proper shoes, I decided to get some compression sleeves for my knees. I had surgery for a medial meniscus tear 6 years ago. Both knees are achy; when walking down stairs, I have to take one stair at a time. I went to my local sporting goods store and tried various knee sleeves in multiple brands. All were too stiff and bulky. I knew they would be difficult to dance in. Disappointed by what I saw in the store, I came home and did research on my computer. I found Tommie Copper and remember Montel talking about their products on an infomercial. I was happy to hear these sleeves are thin and comfortable to wear. I am about to order my first pair. Can’t wait!
I’ve never tried compressin tights. If they help to keep me warm, I’ll definitely give ‘me a try.

Compression tights! Look cool and get relief from pain at the same time!
I love me some compression pants – to hold in my jiggles (until I run the jiggles away). And they keep me nice and warm in the Halifax chilly weather. Love your website Tara!!
I have never worn anything compression. I’m just starting out on this whole running journey, and need some gear!

Happy Birthday by the way! In advance of course!!!
I haven’t tried compression tights yet…but am just starting my running journey so I’d love to try them!
I follow you on Facebook, too!
I ordered my first pair of TC compression socks today. I have plantar fascitis and tend to have some swelling of bilateral legs at the end of the day. Currently wear 15-20 mmHg compression socks from Ames. Some tend to slip as the day goes on. Not truly effective but less pain than just regular socks. I work as a nurse so Im on my feet all day. All I want to do when I get home is to remove my current compression socks and elevate my legs. Its impacting my life because I don’t want to go anywhere after work. I live near a beach (my life dream) but legs hurt too much to enjoy life. So ready to receive my new socks to try to get some relief. Maybe I will win a pair too!
Just received my ankle compression unit and right away the relief from plantar fascitis was almost immediate. Rest with the feet up with no weight on them will assist the process. Good luck with complete recuperation. Also wearing my new knee unit also. Bike rider so it is a dream. Do it Tommie Copper! You got it going on!
