What the heck? Two videos? Tara, are you seriously going vlog crazy?
Yes and no.
I’m enjoying the vlogging quite a bit and some things are better done on video than spending a few hours trying to write a blog post. Especially when you’re just talking about some cool new things you got in the mail recently.
The reason for the second video? A good friend of mine reminded me that while vlogging is awesome there weren’t any captions for my Deaf friends. They could keep up with all that was going on with me through my writings but when I make videos, they’re left just staring at my face.
The second video is another take on the first but in American Sign Language. They aren’t exact but damn close. I’m going to try and remember to do this more often.
Thanks for the reminder Erin.

Great idea with the dual VLOGs. That’s fantastic! Looks like you’re getting more comfortable with doing vids. Yay! And lastly, love your medals!
Your videos are SO awesome. I love how your personality really shines through!!
Great Vlog, love seeing you in a better frame of mind, it really is all in the attitude. Boy what a week can do huh? 🙂
I loved the dual vlogs! About a million years ago I took ASL (was required for my degree) and I hate that I only understood about .1% of what you signed!
Did you learn ASL for a particular reason? I’m just curious.
I love that you’re getting into this vlog thing. You really are just as dynamic to watch as you are to read. And I have to agree with Heidi, it does seem they are getting easier for you. (which is fan-fuckin-tastic in my books).
I also love that this inspires you to interpret your vlogs. I’ve missed watching you sign.
But mostly, I just love you, all of you. xo
Oh, and you should have added an impromptu shout out to your T-Town homies. Holla at the 253 ya’ll! *nice shirt*
Love the vlogs!! It’s so awesome hearing your voice again. 🙂 Like Bari, I took ASL years ago, but could only follow bits and pieces of your signing, but I think it’s awesome you took the time to do that!
Yep. Love your vlogs! And I get cold sores too.
I think the dual vlogs are awesome! My uncle taught ASL at a college for the deaf years ago. He just recently passed away, and I so regret not learning ASL from him at some point my 33 years here on this planet. Ah well. No changing the past.
I also am a member of the cold sore club. I have one showing up right now because of homework stress. Stupid stress!
TOTALLY digging the vlogs. It makes me smile to hear your voice again. 🙂 I miss your encouraging words and smiles that let me know that I really can do this. Have a great 12 miles this weekend!
oooh may I move in and pay my rent with VLOGS??
love love love.
